Who is the WonderBall Committee of LIVEfor…?

The WonderBall Committee is a volunteer group of LIVEfor… that is made up of young professionals from a variety of backgrounds living in and around the Twin Cities with the joint goal of supporting the rehabilitative needs of children in our community.

The WonderBall Committee believes that young adults have a responsibility to invest in the health care of children today, so they may lead the community of tomorrow.  Our goal is to unite creative, intelligent, and dedicated individuals to have a good time while serving our community.

The WonderBall Committee is LIVEfor…Inc.’s volunteer committee charged with organizing a gala fundraiser each year. WonderBall will benefit Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota’s Department of Developmental and Rehabilitation Services to assist with ensuring children have access to advanced specialty programs and services in order to increase independence in activities of daily living, participate in recreational programming, and improve quality of life.

WonderBall 2017 had 4 corporate sponsors (VigiLanz Intelligence, Talk To Me Technologies, Handi Medical Supply, and Orthotic Care Services), many generous in-kind and service donations, a HUGE silent auction, fundraising games, and the special presence of Be The Match (the national bone marrow donor program).  The WonderBall Committee was able to donate over $27,000 to the Department of Developmental and Rehabilitation Services of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.  This donation was used to purchase specialized equipment for vestibular rehabilitation, which involves inner ear or balance disorders.  Children who experience vestibular disorders may experience vertigo or dizziness, gaze instability, delayed development or diminished balance and other motor abilities.  The equipment purchased, including specialized goggles, greatly assists therapists in treating children with these conditions.  We were also able to give more than $1,300 to LIVEfor…to continue carrying out their mission.
